Maerz Ofenbau AG plays a central role in the world-wide production of lime and dolomite.

Lime and dolomite are basic raw materials that have made an essential contribution to many of the achievements of our modern world. They are vital in the steel, building and chemical industries as well as in agriculture and environmental emission control.

The name Maerz stands for economically and ecologically viable furnace and kiln construction.

Numerous new orders for Maerz PFR Kilns world-wide

Since issuing the June 2008 “Maerz News”, Maerz has been awarded supply contracts for 14 new PFR Kiln plants in Mexico, Spain, Czech Republic, Turkey, China, Korea, Malaysia, Iran, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. Find more details in the present December 2008 News.

Maerz just now published a new edition of “Maerz News”, focusing on “50 Years PFR Kiln Technology”. In 1958 the first PFR Kiln – known as “Schmid-Hofer Kiln – was started up at the lime plant of Wopfinger Stein- und Kalkwerke in Wopfing, Austria.

 RCE Single Shaft Kiln Technology – a spate of new orders across the world

Calcination and sintering are energy intensive processes and thus represent high cost factors in the lime, dolomite and refractory industries. Despite this, the increased demand for calcined and sintered materials has led to numerous new orders for Maerz/RCE.
