Both kilns are designed to operate on mixed gas and coke oven gas (COG), enabling improved energy efficiency and optimised operating costs for JSL’s lime production. The first kiln was successfully commissioned and brought into operation in April 2024, followed by the second kiln in March 2026. The project has now been successfully completed.
This excellent collaboration highlights the strong partnership between JSL and Maerz, combining JSL’s industrial expertise with Maerz’s advanced lime kiln technology. The Maerz kilns ensure a reliable supply of high-quality lime for stainless steel production while further supporting JSL’s commitment to adopting efficient and sustainable technologies.
