With a total capacity of 1’600 tpd, the largest plant of its kind in Türkiye sets new standards in efficiency, production reliability and sustainability. The three lime kilns were realised in close cooperation with Parget Makina, a renowned Turkish steel construction and plant engineering company. The plant comprises:
All the kilns are fired with natural gas. This ensures stable and clean combustion, which reduces emission levels compared to conventional coal firing.
Toysali’s decision to rely on this proven team was a decisive factor in the award of the contract. Over the past twelve years, Maerz and Parget have successfully built more than ten lime plants, with additional projects already under construction.

Tosyalı Holding is among Türkiye’s leading industrial companies. With operations on three continents and an annual crude steel production of around 15 million tons, the group is a heavyweight in the steel industry in the Mediterranean region.
The collaboration with Maerz goes back a long way. More than ten years ago, Toysali purchased four PFR kilns with a total capacity of 2'100 t/d for its steel plant in Oran, Algeria, including the two large 600 tpd lime kilns ordered most recently, the first of which went into operation a year ago. Toysali is thus continually expanding its steel production capacities while securing access to state-of-the-art lime supply technology. Learn more about this lime plant here.
With the commissionig of the new plant in Iskenderun, Tosyali now operates a total of seven Maerz lime kilns – an impressive testament to the trust in the technology and the close partnership between the companies.
With the new lime plant in Iskenderun, Tosyali is sending a strong signal: state-of-the-art Maerz lime kiln technology and Parget Makina’s implementation expertise ensure maximum efficiency and supply security.
The three new kilns are not only a milestone for Tosyali itself, but also another example of the successful partnership between Maerz and Parget – economically efficient, technologically leading, and sustainable.
