Convenience functions

To ensure our website is displayed optimally (e.g. adjustment to different monitor screen sizes, drop-down menu, input control for contact form) we use languages such as JavaScript and CSS (cascading style sheets). You can use corresponding settings on your browser to deactivate the use of these languages. However this may render parts of our website unusable.

Social Media

At various points of our website we provide links to social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, marked with the logos of the social media providers for easy identification. Using our website does not send any personal data to the providers of these social media platforms. Only when you click on one of the links will you be taken to the respective social media website, at which point personal data will be transmitted to the provider. As a result, you leave our website and we have no influence over the data collected or the way they are processed, nor are we aware of the scope and purpose of data collection and the duration of their storage.

Clicking on one of these links informs the social media provider that you accessed the corresponding page of our website. In addition the data listed in the section “Collection of personal data when visiting our website” of this privacy statement will be transmitted. This will happen regardless of whether you have an account with this social media provider and are logged in. If you are logged in to the social media provider, these data are allocated directly to your account.

Social media providers store personal data as user profiles and use them for advertising, market research and/or the tailored design of their website. In particular, the data are analyzed (even for users who are not logged in) to display tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right you will need to contact the social media providers.

For more information on the scope and purpose of data collected and how they are processed by the social media provider, please find the privacy statements of these providers below. They also contain further information on your rights and the options available to you to protect your privacy.

Content Delivery Networks

This internet site uses Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to improve the performance of content provision (§ 6 (1) S. 1 lit. f GDPR forms the legal basis for this). CDNs enable common JavaScript libraries and font types to be loaded more quickly as the files used are transferred from quick, local or underutilized servers. Among other things, the IP address of the user is transmitted to the CDN service provider.

You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by CDN providers by deactivating the script code in your browser or installing a script blocker in your browser (you can find these e.g. under www.noscript.net or www.ghostery.com).

We use the following CDN providers on our website:
